Help Hub at the Harrelson Center
Contact the Harrelson Center at 343-8212
The Help Hub at the Harrelson Center is fueled by volunteers! Positions needed include a Greeter, an Advisor and Office Support. The Help Hub program helps meet the emergency needs of individuals referred by the center's partner organizations and local churches. These needs are often critical in nature and fall outside of the direct mission of the referring partner. The Help Hub also provides consultation to people in need by assisting them with financial needs such as emergency shelter, utility and medical bills and transportation. The Help Hub also connects people with Harrelson Center partners and additional community resources. Go to www.harrelsoncenter.org for volunteer application or call the Center at 343-8212.
Alternate Gift for Mother Hubbard's Cupboard
Contact Gaye Thomas at 910-791-2943
Instead of buying a gift for a friend or family member, consider making a donation to Mother Hubbard's Cupboard. When you make a donation, you will be given a card that you can send to whomever you wish indicating that a donation has been made in his/her honor. Not only will the person receiving the card be thrilled with your thoughtfulness, you will know that you have given food to someone who is hungry in Wilmington. Please make checks payable to Mother Hubbard's Cupboard. If interested, contact Gaye Thomas at 910-791-2943 or email at email@example.com. Volunteers are also needed the first Friday of every month to hand out food to the hungry.

Typically you will not be called on more than 3 or 4 times a year, and there are no meetings. Members who work can participate by simply making a dish or dessert that can be prepared ahead of time. To volunteer contact Jennie Barker at 256-2402 or email@example.com or Ann Powell at 395-5884 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
