FEATURED INITIATIVE

Green Envelope:
Guatemala Missions

Our March Green Envelope Mission Offering is for the student ministry trip to Guatemala in partnership with Grace Ministries. Our team will construct 12-16 houses as well as providing direct ministry to the community.

The trip costs approximately $1,600 per person, but we aim to reduce the out-of-pocket expense for our students to $800 or less through your generous support.

We appreciate all contributions, and if you're interested in supporting specific needs, here are some ideas:

Be the Light

Help our teens make a splash in the CF region by contributing supplies for 500 hydration bags! Students will gather with other Help Hub Churches at FBC Activity Center on March 9 for food, fun, hydration bag assembly, and devotion time. Shop the Amazon link or add an item or two to your grocery list.

Work on Wilmington: Alderman Elementary

Saturday, April 26 | 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Alderman has been chosen as a site for Work on Wilmington on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM!

This is a great opportunity to transform their outdoor campus by adding an outdoor classroom and fresh landscaping—but they can’t do it without you! They need as many volunteers as possible to bring this vision to life. Sign up on our website and be sure to select Alderman Elementary as your site!

FEATURED PARTNER

Living Hope

In 2023, we partnered with Living Hope to convert our underutilized basement space into a day shelter. The shelter is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9AM to 1PM and provides help to our unhoused neighbors. The volunteers provide a comfortable place to rest, breakfast, coffee, and help connecting those in need with nearby non-profits.

Tuesday Night
Ministries

Every Tuesday Night, we serve a community meal to our neighbors. This ministry has expanded to include a shower trailer and clothing closet!

There are multiple ways to get involved with our Tuesday Night Ministry. We need volunteers to help with the cooking, serving, clothing closet, shower trailer, and more.

NATIONAL

CBF Partners

We have partnered with Missionaries around the country through our connection with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF). In 2022 our students traveled to Corbin, Kentucky and worked at the Baptist Housing facility, a 64 unit living facility for elderly and mobility-impaired adults.

In 2023, we partnered with Forest Hills Baptist Church and CBF’s very own Welcome House ministry to do what we called a “Tour de Welcome House.” Our teams got to hear from local Raleigh churches about what goes into creating a ‘Welcome House’ and the process that refugee families go through while adjusting to life in the States.

GLOBAL

Guatemala &
South Africa

We partner with GRACE Ministries in Chimaltenango, Guatemala to support their work through monetary donations and mission work. We typically travel to Guatemala twice per year to help build housing and other important infrastructure.

FBC is a part of the South Africa Network. We have made a commitment to several ministry partners in South Africa – to support the work they are doing, to provide resources as we can, and to go to South Africa and encourage them with whatever labor and words of affirmation are needed.
